Cumberland Show Success

We had a very successful day at the Cumberland Show on Saturday with our school entries.

The children from Nursery upwards entered many of the classes, and we had lots of individual prize winners in classes such as handwriting, home made bird feeders, pictures and decorated paper plates.  We also entered the school display competition and came first (for the second year in a row!).   The theme for the display this year was Farm to Fork, and Y5 put much of their learning to good use, including a scrapbook of their trip to Steve Wilson butchers and making bolognaise sauce at school. They have won a trip to Walby Farm Park which they are looking forward to.

Living in a rural area we feel that it is really important to support our local agricultural show and the children get a huge sense of pride and achievement from producing their entries and taking part.
